This wine has a deep, dark, dense garnet color, with aromas of deep plums, blackberries, and mint.The palate has rich blackberries, with perfectly ripened plums,hard caramel and cedar, with a little pepper. The wine enjoys a gripping tannin and perfect acidity that rounds out the mouth feel for lingering finish and enjoyment.
Grapes were picked and crushed in the height of the fruit’s ripeness. It was then cold soaked on native yeasts to allow the release of intense color and flavor components, which are found in the skins of the grapes. The wine is aged on oak for an extended eighteen months.
