A beautiful nose of boysenberry, mint, and floral components all come out of the glass. On the palate is lush and rich with black cherry. The fruit is well balanced with slight hints of toasty oak and ends with a lingering toasty finish.
The grapes were de-stemmed and the whole berries cold-soaked for 2 days prior to fermentation and spent a total of 18 days on the skins before the free-run wine settled and racked to barrel for malolatic fermentation. Then, spent 22 months in French oak barrels of which 40% were new, follow was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
